The Apartment

An extremely comfortable and well furnished apartment with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living area, fully fitted kitchen and balcony with sea views, suitable for up to 4 persons.

This apartment sits atop one of the most attractive and traditional complexes in Carvoeiro, where residents have use of any of 5 private pools, two tennis courts and plenty of on-street parking all year round.

Number 16 is a 1st floor apartment, at the top of a short but very steep hill, but only a 5 minute walk (down) to the varied bars and restaurants of Carvoeiro.

There is a mini-market less than 5 minutes walk. Even fewer minutes the other way, you'll find the local municipal market where you can get fresh fruit, vegetables, fish and meat daily (except Sundays). We also like to stop there for the cheapest cup of coffee in Carvoeiro !

Accomodation

Living space

Having entered into a bright and airy hallway, you'll find a large and comfortable living/dining area with round dining table, sofa, two comfy armchairs, and an entertainment centre.

Sliding doors lead out to the south facing balcony overlooking the pool and with superb views of the town, sea and sunsets.

Swimming/sunbathing

Shared pool and baby pool with sun loungers, umbrellas and a shower are surrounded by only 16 apartments, but residents can use any of the 5 pool areas in the whole Monte Dourado complex.

Cooking/eating

A comfortable sized kitchen with all the gadgets, should fill the needs of all but the most ambitious master chefs.

Sleeping/washing

2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms:

The master bedroom, reached through a private hall/cupboard area, has a large comfortable double bed that consistently gets rave reviews from many of our guests. There is ample storage in the traditional style fitted wardrobes as well as small dressing table.

Newly refurbished en suite bathroom with bathtub, shower, basin and toilet.

The second bedroom, off the main hallway faces inland, has twin beds and similar spacious built in wardrobes.

There is also a second bathroom with walk-in shower, basin and toilet.

Fully fitted kitchen contains:

Electric hob, oven and extractor
Microwave and electric Toaster
Fridge-freezer
Filter coffee maker and electric kettle
All the pots and pans you will ever need
Crockery and glasses for a full house as well as a plastic set of plates and cutlery for kids
Dishwasher, washing machine, iron and board
and of course brooms and mops for those occasional accidents

In the living area:

TV and DVD player. CD sound system and a small collection of CDs and movies. Feel free to also bring your own music or movies if you want
SKY digital satellite and decoder box for all main UK terrestrial channels. Bring your own SKY card from the UK if you really want the extra stuff
Direct dial phone, which is metered and can be paid for on departure
Torch and supply of candles for that emergency blackout that just happens in the Algarve

In the bedrooms

All bed linen with duvets and additional blankets when appropriate
Electric fan, hairdryers, heaters (when needed)

In the bathrooms

Bath towels, bath mats and hand towels
Liquid soap and toilet paper supplied and topped up by maid who visits 5 days a week

Table and chairs for al fresco dining
Clothes dryer/airer

Ashtrays are available for outdoor smoking only. As a courtesy to other guests, please do not smoke inside the Apartment at any time.
