Our Carvoeiro: Casa das Palmeiras - superb Villa in Algarve

This 4 bedroom traditional style Villa with private pool occupies an enviable position very close to the heart of town, yet set in a quiet little street protected by trees all around and offering views from the upper balconies of the sea and mountains.

The fabric of the building is awash with traditional Portuguese architectural touches and has been decorated with an international style that is colourful and homely in order to give an immediate welcome to visitors and guests staying here.

Accommodation

Living space

From the entrance hall, tiled in typical Portuguese fashion, you enter into a huge living area with glass topped dining table, twin sofas, and an entertainment centre.

Sliding doors lead out to the side garden with shady eating area, and small secluded garden.

Swimming/sunbathing

Leading off the rear of the living area are double doors, opening to the very private terrace, swimming pool, both sunny and shady lazing areas, barbeque and outside shower.

Cooking/eating

At the heart of the house is a splendid new kitchen with all the gadgets, acres of work surface and an adjoining light and airy breakfast eating area.

Sleeping/washing

On the ground floor the "the blue room" has twin beds, built-in wardrobes with plenty of shelves and hanging space and an en-suite bathroom containing twin basins, bath/shower, toilet and bidet. Adjacent to that is "the yellow room" which also has twin beds and similar built-in wardrobes. There is another family bathroom with bath/shower, twin basins, toilet and bidet.

Upstairs is the huge master suite with extra wide twin beds, built-in cupboards, a ceiling fan and an en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower, twin basins, toilet and bidet. Sliding door leads out onto a very sunny south facing balcony with sea views and awesome sunsets.

Interestingly, the master suite is reached by walking through the second upstairs twin bedroom. Its probably simplest to see the floor plan to understand this strange layout, but there are also sliding doors onto the balcony shared with the master bedroom.

TV and CD/DVD player with sound system and a collection of CDs and movies, Feel free to also bring your own music or movies if you want.
SKY digital satellite and decoder box for all main UK terrestrial channels. Bring your own SKY card from the UK if you really want the extra stuff.
Phone with complimentary local calls. International calling is disabled.
Torch and supply of candles for that emergency blackout that just happens in the Algarve.
Complimentary broadband Internet connection if you bring your own laptop and of course headphones for VOIP calling. (If you don't know what that is you won't need it !)

In the bedrooms

All bed linen with Duvets and additional blankets when appropriate
Electric fan, hairdryers, heaters (when needed)
Mosquito netting on window shutters and electric repellent (you may have to top up the liquid)

In the bathrooms
